Better Living Through Toxins

by gemile

"Jesus Jamie" yelled the woman slamming the car door shut. Looking down at her clothes she really didn't want to touch any part of them. Glancing back into the car just further fueled her anger. "Rrraghh" she vented stomping around the car to the front passenger door. "I told you to keep your head out the window" she continued to yell, yanking open the door.

The limp body of girl came falling out heading towards the ground before her hand caught the door. "I'm... I'm sorry Carrie. I tried but...." the young girls apology was interrupted by a moment of puking. "My head got too heavy" the girl continued crawling out of the car.

Carrie saw her friend's car pulling up the driveway at that very moment, glaring at the driver who was now parking a green Honda Civic behind her own cherry red 1966 Mustang. Glancing back down she watched the girl pulling herself out of the car.

"Oh no" came the voice snapping Carrie's attention back to the driver of the green Honda. "Did she.."

"Yes" came Carrie's seething response.

"Aww shit. I'm sorry Carrie, here let me help get her out of the way" the woman said.

Letting out a little sigh, Carrie reached down to grab the back of Jamie's pants. She smiled a little seeing Jamie's face resting against the driveway with her ass sticking up in the air. "I've got it Mel, just go open up the garage and help me clean up" she said tossing the keys back to her friend.

"Sure thing" Melanie said grabbing the keys in the air. Standing there for a second, she watched Carrie pick up Jamie bay the back of her pants and shirt only to carry her to the front of the car. The whole process perfectly highlighted why Carrie was an essential player on their softball team. Standing at 6'7" she towered over everyone on the team and most of their opponents. Her height though was only part of the package. Carrie was an avid gym rat, working out several times a week and her body showed the results. Thick muscle covered most of her body, giving her a strength to challenge even the best of the guys they met.

"Yo Mel, wake up" came Carrie's voice knocking Melanie out of her trance.

"Sorry, just a little tired" Melanie said walking quickly towards the front door. While fumbling with the keys she heard Carrie yell out "A little faster." Rolling her eyes, Melanie had gotten used to Carrie's major personality flaw over the years. Carrie's constant need to be the one in control was only fueled by her strength and size. Most of the time it was never a problem, but occasionally Carrie's attitude proved to be intimidating to other teammates leaving Melanie to talk to her.

Pushing the door open, she quickly dropped the keys on the bench, walking to the back room. Feeling along the dark wall she found the door handle leading to the garage where she could see the red dot for the garage opener. Pushing the button she watched the light flood into the room along with the view of Carrie standing over Jamie, holding her sideways.

"Did she just puke again" Mel asked already knowing the answer.

"Yep. Hand me the hose will ya?"

Looking around the garage, Melanie found the end of hose Carrie wanted, walking it down the driveway a bit. Handing it over she glanced at her friend laying on the driveway. All three were still wearing their white uniforms with the red letters announcing the team name, only Jamie and Carrie's weren't looking so hot right now.

"Ahh Mel, I think you need to turn the water on" Carrie said looking at the hose.

"Oh. Right" Mel said feeling a little stupid at the moment.

"When you come back down bring the bucket of cleaning supplies" Carrie told Melanie as she was walking away. "Oh and an extra roll of paper towels. I think we're going to need them to clean out the car."

Turning the water on, Melanie smiled hearing Jamie's voice scream out at the feeling of the cold water. Looking back at her two friends, she watched Carrie spraying down Jamie before moving on to the driveway. For as tall and strong as Carrie was, Jamie was short and extremely curvy. The wet cloth from the uniform now clung against Jamie's 5'3" body like a second skin. This only served to accentuate the curves of Jamie's massive H-cups, a constant source of focus for everyone since she started developing in the 5th grade.

Grabbing the bucket of cleaning supplies Melanie started back down the driveway taking a moment to chastise Jamie.

"Hey Boobs, just relax a moment. We're going to clean up your mess in Carrie's car" she said looking down at her friend.

"It's so cold..." Jamie replied, arching her back away from the wet driveway exposing just a hint of her dark carmel color toned stomach. Her nipples were clearly visible through the cloth.

"Good lord" Melanie found herself saying as she stared at her friends overly exaggerated hourglass shape. "If we didn't know each other for so long Jamie, I'd hate you right now" she said realizing her friend wouldn't remember this conversation.

Tearing her eyes away from Jamie, Melanie continued walking to the side of the Mustang opposite of Carrie. Inside she found Carrie was currently using her shirt to sop up as much of the mess inside the car as possible. Her black sports bra strained to contain the muscle mass behind it.

"Jamie is lucky she's such a good friend" Carrie said throwing her soaked shirt on the lawn behind her. "Hand me some of those towels and cleaner will ya Mel?"

Dipping her head into the car, Melanie handed over the cleaning supplies and started working on her side of the car as well. "Heh, yeah I just told Jamie she's lucky we're friends. Ever imagine we'd still be best of friends 12 years later?"

"Ha! I remember meeting you the first time when you moved here in the 5th grade" Carrie said sopping up another section in the seat. "God I remember being so envious of you and your height. I think I had a crush on you."

"Oh" Melanie responded hearing this story for the first time.

"Yeah, you were so tall then, you just towered over everyone" Carrie said while spraying down some of the leather seats. "I remember that time Ms. Stots told you to write the answer on the board, and it was the first time I realized you were taller than an adult."

"Carrie, I was only 5'4" at the time" Melanie replied stopping what she was doing to look at her friend. "And I don't think you're hurting on the height department."

"Yeah, once I started growing in the 7th grade there was no stopping me" she smiled.

The memories instantly shot to the front of Melanie's mind. She remembered how Carrie started growing between 6th and 7th grades. How over that summer her body had become very weak and the doctors suggested she begin a regular physical therapy session. This began her obsession with weight training and by the 9th grade she found herself working out with the football team, and dating half of them by submission. By 10th grade her growth spurt finally slowed with her standing at 6'5" and her dating interested permanently moved to strong muscle guys.

"But look at you now, you're... you're hot! Any guy should be interested in you" Carrie continued moving on to a new selection of towels without even glancing up. "Hey, keep cleaning you" she said pausing long enough to finally look up at her friends face.

Carrie and Melanie's eyes met for a second before Carrie went back to work. For Melanie that brief second lasted several minutes, finding her own desires starting to well up inside of her.

The sound of water spraying against the windshield caught both their attention. "This ground is too hard" came Jamie's voice from outside the car.

"Hang on Princess" Carrie shot back immediately.

Melanie watched Carrie extract herself from the car walk around to the front and easily pick up Jamie before dropping her in the grass far enough away from the car. Jamie's hand still held the hose soaking the two again and the front of the car. Running quickly back around, Carrie immediately got back to work cleaning the inside of the car.

Melanie smiled at the sight of her friend's body dripping with water. "Good look on you" she said.

"Thanks, hand me a cloth towel quickly before i destroy the leather" Carrie said before trying to dry herself off a bit.

The two continued to clean the inside of the car together.

"Oh geez" Carrie said.

"What now?" Melanie asked looking up. Once again the two made eye contact, only this time the contact was held for several seconds. Melanie found herself resisting the urge to kiss the Carrie.

"I think Princess knocked over the foaming soap bottle" Carrie said looking behind Melanie.

Taking a glance back, Melanie could see the yard covered in soap bubbles. In the middle of it lay Jamie making soap bubble angles and blowing on them. The two broke out laughing watching their friend.

"So Carrie, when did they let you guys move back into the houses?" Melanie asked.

"They haven't yet" Carrie said spraying down the windshield.

"Woah, wait, we're not supposed to be here" Melanie asked a little surprised.

"Calm down miss proper, it's all okay. The DEA said we'd be able to move back in a few days. Right now they're letting us back in to the neighborhood and our homes to get stuff we need."

"Yeah but..."

"Look, the neighborhood association even has the landscaping company back to work" Carrie interrupted. It was true, for the first time Melanie noticed the sound of lawn mowers running in the background and could see the landscapers down the block working on the front yard of someone's home.

It was clear the work was needed, all the grass stood mid-shin high. "Geez that's some tall grass. Did they ever tell you what happened?" Melanie asked finishing up cleaning off the steering wheel.

"Well the official story is some robbers used a hazardous materials waste truck they stole as a getaway vehicle. I guess they figured the cops wouldn't shoot at it, or knock it over. The cops cut them off and they tried to drive through this little dead-end development before tipping the truck over. The DEA said the truck was empty but they wanted to run an extensive clean up as children played here" Carrie said feeling better about the state of the windshield. "Hand me the Armour All" she said grabbing a new paper towel.

"That really sucks, how long you been camping out at Jamie's?" Melanie was now rubbing in the lotion Carrie left on the dashboard.

"Only a few days" Carrie said feeling better about the state of her car now.

"The bubbles" they both heard Jamie yell out. "They're tickling my nose!" she giggled.

"My turn" Melanie replied sliding out of the car and through the layer of thick grass and bubbles to her friend.

"How you feeling there Jamie?"

"Where... where'd all the cute guys go" she asked a little confused with the foam all around her face. "And how'd you get so tall?"

"Come on champ, let's sit you up for a bit" Melanie said reaching down to grab Jamie. As she pulled up, Melanie found her footing slipping in the mud and was quickly laying on top of Jamie.

Scrambling to stand up again, Melanie's arm pressed into Jamie's chest eliciting a moan out of Jamie.

"Oh Mel, you don't have to fall on me to touch my boobies, all you... I think I'm going to be sick" Jamie said turning her head.

Rolling quickly to the other side, Melanie found herself disappearing in a layer of soap bubbles while pushing her friend away from her. "Carrie, I think I'll need your help here" she said keeping Jamie slightly turned sideways. She could feel the tiny foam bubbles bursting all around her skin. "Oh she's right the bubbles do tickle" Mel giggled for a moment.

A second later, with Carrie's help, Melanie was able to sit Jamie up. Walking back to the garage, Melanie and Carrie started to pick up the cleaning supplies used in the car. Grabbing the big bucket of supplies Melanie did a quick recount of the items inside of it.

"Hey Carrie, did you have two bottles of car wash?" Melanie asked scratching her arm.

"Nope" Carrie said grabbing the last towel from inside of the car while scratching her legs.

"Because you've got a full bottle of foaming car wash mixture here in the bucket" Melanie replied a little confused. Her back was suddenly itchy as well.

Both of them looked over at the front yard now covered with foaming soap bubbles.

"Does... does your skin feel weird?" Carrie asked scratching at her legs again.

"Yeah like it's on itchy and burning at the same time" Melanie replied trying to reach her back and noticing her whole body felt the same way.

"Shit" Carrie said moving towards the front door. "Quickly rinse yourself off" she said dashing into the house.

"Huh, wait..." Melanie started before she realized what Carrie just did. Dropping the bucket she reached the front door just seconds after Carrie. She could see Carrie just rounding out the steps to the upstairs meaning she was taking the only shower. Melanie quickly moved to the downstairs half-bath working to strip off her shirt and shoes at the same time.

Upstairs, Carrie turned on the shower jumping in fully clothed. Letting the water run over her body, her hands worked at removing the sports bra and pants. Tossing each garment on the floor of the bathroom, she soon found the burning and itching feeling fading as the water continued to run over her.

Letting the water run for just another few seconds, Carrie stepped out and began to dry herself off. Rubbing down her arms and chest to a semi-dry state, she bent down to start on her legs when a strong wave of dizziness passed over her. Reaching out for the counter top to steady herself, Carrie found her strength disappearing and her knees buckling. Dropping the towel, she clutched the counter top with both hands trying to keep herself upright when a deep searing pain racked through her body.

Closing her eyes tight, Carrie tried to scream out only to find her voice wasn't coming to her. Her head felt heavy suddenly causing her to drop her chin towards her chest. Her breathing became constricted. Using all of her willpower, she concentrated on pushing through the pain and straightening out her legs as if she was pushing through a heavy squat rack.

Taking a deep breath, Carrie let out a surprisingly loud grunt while her legs slowly straightened out. Straining with each second she could feel the pain racking her body start to give way encouraging her to try harder. Concentrating more on the movements, the wave of dizziness began to pass when she felt something press against the tops of her shoulders.

"Huh" she said opening her eyes only to see herself staring down at the sinks and counter top. Something seemed off to her, though she wasn't able to figure out what it was. Her legs were not quite straight, but she wasn't able to reach the sink like she was used to. Bringing her head up she felt it hit the back something.

"What the..." Carrie said raising her hands towards her head when she felt them hit the same surface. Running her hands along the smooth flat surface, her left arm reached a corner causing her to turn her head and look.

"Is that... " Carrie paused looking at the sight before her. "Is that the ceiling?" she asked no one in particular. Feeling the wall with her fingers she scanned back below her only this time her brain realized everything looked smaller.

"I'm... taller" she said slightly confused. Looking down at the mirror she could see the image of her body stuffed into the formerly large bathroom.

Running her hands over her arms, Carrie felt her biceps. "No, I'm big" she said correcting herself while feeling her mind struggling to recognize this. "I mean, I'm bigger. I gotta be over 8 feet tall, and I feel..." she paused bringing her elbows back towards the ceiling. With a little pressure she could feel the plaster board bending. "I feel stronger," she said pushing a little bit with her legs to hear boards snapping. "Much stronger."

"Wow" her eyes went wide with excitement at the realization of what she was seeing. "I've always been big, but now... this... it's just... WOW" she said while striking a pose in the mirror. "I feel great" she exclaimed bouncing on her feet for a second only to hear the plaster boards groan again.

"No, no this is wrong, people don't just grow larger" Carrie said to herself. Kneeling down she was finally able to straighten out her body and get a good look at herself in the mirror. "God look at me! If this is wrong I don't want it to stop" she said running a hand over toned body. "No this isn't wrong at all, it's amazing! What's really wrong is why it stopped here. I was able to intimidate people with my height and strength before, just imagine what I can do now. Or if I was larger... I gotta find Mel and show her."

Looking back in the mirror she realized that leaving the room was going to require a new tactic. Shuffling her knees backwards, she ended up on all fours, moving out the doorway ass first. She felt her feet hit the hallway wall before her ass had even left the door frame.

"Oh this is going to be interesting" she said. Decided it would be better to sit down and bring her upper body twisting out of the door way, Carrie brought her ass down to her knees. Her shoulders jammed into both sides of the door frame, causing her to balance on one leg and twist her entire body. Using a hand to help her along, she pushed with her arm when she felt her arm support suddenly disappear with the sound of splintering wood filling her ears. This caused her to throw her weight backwards against the wall and yell out "SHIT" at the same time. The thin wall was no match for the momentum of her body, sending Carrie crashing through the hallway into the master bedroom.

"Hahaha" she laughed feeling her body finally able to stretch a bit. Looking at her bedroom, she realized just how large she was. "Wow I'm huge" she told herself moving back to her hands and knees. "HEY MEL, DO I HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU" she yelled out moving herself back into the hallway.

"I'm in your closet" Carrie heard Melanie respond.

"Huh?" Carrie said a little confused as to why Melanie would have gone to the closet to wash off. "I guess you were faster than me" Carrie said moving back into the bedroom towards the closet. "But you're never going to believe what happened to me" she said boastfully reaching for the closet door.

Opening the door Carrie found herself staring at a pair of large breasts. Following the chest upwards, her eyes connected with Melanie's while Carrie's brain continued to analyze the view in front of her. Glancing quickly down, Carrie realized that Melanie was still standing on the first floor. Scanning back up she found Melanie's head just brushing against the ceiling on the second floor. Melanie found herself lustfully staring at Carrie, who surprisingly didn't seem to be much bigger than her for once.

"But I'm soo..." Carrie muttered.

"Shh... it's going to be alright Carrie" Melanie said reaching out with her right arm. Melanie's arm wrapped around Carrie's head while her left hand came up to her face. In one small move, Melanie pulled her head close to Carrie's and planted a deep kiss on her lips, relishing the two seconds that it lasted.

"I've... I've wanted to do that for a long time" Melanie said pulling away.

Carrie continued to just stare.

"Carrie, you okay?"

"Mel..." Carrie's voice was showing surprise. "There's only half of you" Carrie acknowledge for the first time with her eyes scanning down the body of her friend. The mess of clothes and shoes covered the area around Melanie, but it was clear her head, shoulders, chest and stomach were all that were visible right now.

"Oh I'm still all together, the rest is still in the half-bath downstairs" Melanie sheepishly replied. "Sorry about the floor" she said shifting her weight only to be greeted with the sound of more wood breaking. "And the bathroom."

Carrie's brain was trying to comprehend too many things all at once. She was doing alright with the sudden increase in her own size. She was doing alright with the sudden increase in her strength. But her mind was having difficulty wrapping around the idea that her best friend just kissed saying she's wanted to do that for awhile. And that she was now shorter than someone. "That... you're... I mean" Carrie tried to start talking.

"Yeah, I know and it looks like it worked on you too" Melanie said finishing the thought for Carrie.

Scrambling to her feet, Carrie hit her head off the ceiling, instinctively ducking, and decided to handle one thing at a time. "You-you just kissed me" her voice filled with shock while shuffling to the other side of the room.

"Yeah..." Melanie blushed at the thought. "Sorry I-I don't know what came over me, but I couldn't..."

"And you're standing through the floor of my house" interrupted Carrie.

Melanie looked down at her body again. She could have sworn her C-cup chest looked bigger before, but now she was certain of it. Grabbing her breasts, her hands massaged them trying to gauge if she was seeing things. It was pretty clear in just a few seconds that her breasts were indeed larger. Not only larger, but firmer as well. "Yeah, I..." Melanie said twisting her body a little. "I don't know what to say, it just happened Carrie. It must have been the chemical foam" she said a little worried about her friend's reaction.

"YOU'RE TALLER THAN ME!" Carrie's voice said with a mixture of complaint, confusion, and shock.

The statement caught Melanie a little off guard, enough to stop her from inspecting herself further. Her mind instantly ran through the ramifications of her new stature. Not only was she now taller than the tallest woman she's ever met, Carrie, but it also would mean she was taller than everyone else. "heh" she let a little chuckle out before catching herself. "Yeah I guess I am. How tall are your ceilings" she asked looking around.

"S-s-standard 8ft ceilings" Carrie stammered out still trying to process that she was now shorter than her friend.

Glancing down at how much of her body was sticking out through the floor, Melanie did some rough calculations before announcing "I've got to be about 16 or 17 feet tall at this point. I don't think anyone has ever..." Melanie stopped mid-sentence.

"Oh shit... JAMIE!!" she yelled worried about her friend suddenly. Spinning around in the hole, Melanie was looking for the easy way out without breaking anymore of the house but was rewarded with a smooth wall. "Shit, shit, shit" she yelled realizing that she couldn't move. Turning back around she found Carrie still standing there dazed.

"CARRIE" she yelled at her friend. "CARRIE!!!" she yelled again but got no response. Grabbing the nearest grouping of shoes, her massive hand was able to pick up 4 shoes in one pull. Throwing them at Carrie, she commanded her friend again "Carrie go get Jamie and rinse her off NOW."

Carrie felt the shoes hit her body and knock her back to reality. Lumbering towards the hole she made in the wall, she made quick work of the walk down the stairs where she could stand upright for the first time.

"Oh god, I feel so sick" Melanie's muffled voice reverberated through the wall.

Carrie's mind continued to ponder what she just saw only half hearing what Melanie was saying. "I'm so big, but... I'm smaller than Mel" she thought opening the front door as if on autopilot. Ducking down she found leaving the front door easier than the bathroom door, twisting her shoulders and body more efficiently.

Standing on the front steps she took her took her first glance at the front yard while yelling out "JAMIE?" To her amazement the front lawn grass now stood above her head, with blades of grass several feet thick. "Wow" she said stepping closer to the grass. Grabbing the nearest bit of grass, she pulled it from the ground, running her palm over it from bottom to top. She could feel a little of the soapy foam covering the top a slight bit. A collective rustling noise caused her to look back up to watch the grass extending further into the sky. Each blade was expanding larger and larger before her eyes.

"Oh my" Carrie found herself struggling for words at the sight. "J-jamie? Are you out here?" Carrie continued to watch the grass stretch larger until it towered over her two story house.

"JAMIE??" she yelled a little louder now fearful of actually getting a response.

A loud groan filled the air coming from within the house. Spinning around Carrie, glanced back inside but didn't see anything. "Mel you... you okay?" Listening for a response she heard the grass behind her rustle again.

"CARRIE? IS THAT YOU?" Jamie's thundering voice shouted from above.

"Oh no" Carrie replied noticing the afternoon sky had suddenly gone darker.

"I THINK I'M GOING TO PUKE" Jamie said flatly.

"No... NO!! YOU NEED TO FIGHT IT JAMIE" Carrie yelled realizing what was happening.

"OHHHHH... MY HEAD" Jamie roared in discomfort. "IT'S SOOO BRIGHT OUT, IT HURTS MY EYES" she complained.

Carrie heard her friend suck in a large breath and immediately felt the earth begin to rumble beneath her feet. Sounds of the house shaking behind her quick filled her ears. Looking around she was still unable to see Jamie anywhere. Movement towards the top of the grass caught her eye. Straining to see what it was, Carrie wasn't quite sure if it was another blade of grass, a bird, or possibly the worst case scenario of Jamie.

"MY HEAD FEELS LIKE, IT'S BEEN HIT BY A TRUCK" Jamie's thundering voice stated.

The sound of the grass rustling Carrie's attention again. Spinning back around she could see the grass once again growing longer, now making her feel as if she were smaller than an ant. Carrie stepped closer to the grass, running her hand along the blades. She could only stand there, admiring each blade as it grew thicker and longer by the second. When it finally stopped Carrie couldn't believe the thickness of each blade, measuring about 4 or 5 inches. Looking up, she couldn't see the sky through the grass canopy it felt like night.

Carrie was so engrossed with the forest of grass she didn't notice the ground tremors until the rattling windows drew her attention back. A second later the sound of glass breaking signaled the end of several of her homes windows.

"Oh no" Carrie cried out realizing this tremor session was lasting longer than any before.

"WHAT HAPPENED" Jamie's thundering voice asked.

"JAMIE JUST... AHH... DON'T MOVE TOO MUCH" Carrie yelled back unable to see her friend but hoping she could still hear her. Moving towards the driveway, Carrie was hoping a different vantage point would let her see through the crazy amounts of grass.

Carrie noted the sky went completely black, with the sound of wood splintering, compressing, and exploding erupted to her left. This was immediately followed by a minor earthquake shaking the driveway Carrie stood upon. Carrie's eyes instantly were drawn to the source of the sound.

Instead of finding the neighbors well manicured lawn and home she expected, a cloud of dust, wood fiber, and water floated in the air with a long column rising out of where the house was. Carrie followed the column up, realizing this was the arm of her friend Jamie, until it disappeared into the massive blackness above.

"LAST THING I REMEMBER IS HAVING A BEER AT THE END OF SEASON PARTY AND THE CUTE GUYS. I THINK I NEED SOME GATORADE. HEY WHOSE MODEL RAILROAD IS THIS?"

The faint sound of emergency vehicles sirens filled the air. "Aww shit, this isn't going to be good" Carrie muttered to herself.
